It’s an electronic safe that has one of the most unique touch-free RFID entries. It’s activated by wristband, sticker or key fob that opens the vault in a just about one second. Some people say that it's a "biometric safe killer." You can program up to five RFID tags or use a backup key to access the vault if the batteries fail. As a secondary method, you can also gain access using a four to six digit code.
The safe is certified as child-resistant according to the ASTM International safety standards. It’s also certified for its lock strength, pry resistance, and it passed all the drop/pick/saw tests.

Though this is a thick and sturdy safe, it won’t protect your guns from a fire. We'll say it can withstand some higher temperatures but don’t expect it to survive an open fire. Also, there aren’t any official reports on whether it would protect against floods. If you live in an area prone to floods, which most people shouldn't be, keep it in a high part of your house.
It’s quite durable against corrosion, but make sure to keep it in a dry place just in case. Damp areas of your home will eventually cause corrosion if you store the box there for a very long, extended period of time. We high recommend getting a
gun safe dehumidifier.
This is a small safe that measures 9.2 x 14.5 x 10.6 inches in total. It has protective foam on the inside which also reduces its overall storage capacity.
Solely made for one, it cannot fit more one. You can fit a few bullets or thin valuables like credit cards, but no magazines and definitely no larger items. The vault comes in a larger size that might be more appropriate if you have several guns.
Given the level of security it provides, this Hornady gun safe is priced really well. As we mentioned, this is a reliable option as it’s pry and child resistant. It’s almost-virtually impossible to break, and it’s quite heavy so any break-ins would result in a hard time carrying it out.
One setback people complained about is that it’s kind of loud. The mechanism and overall entry process are indeed a bit noisy but for again for the level of security it offers, we think it's justified. We also however think the cable is just a tad bit shorter than we would've liked, but nonetheless, secure.
The Hornady RAPiD Safe AR Gunlocker is an excellent option if you want to keep your firearm collection away from your kids, guests, and intruders. It’s a secure box that can put up more than a fight against experienced thieves. Because it’s already heavy out of the box, once you fill it with your weapons (choose carefully), the vault becomes practically impossible to leave the house with.
We'll say the best thing about it is that it’s easy to use. The mechanism is quick and smooth regardless of the locking method you use. Also, it’s ideal for people who have more than just a gun to keep as it can also hold a few valuable items such as passports, jewelry, money, etc.
